Maybe you’re working in an office and you’re spending a great deal of time sitting. Maybe you’re a gamer and you spend hours hunched in front of your computer. Maybe you’re a work-from-home freelancer and you’re always on your office chair earning your living. In any case, sitting, especially for a prolonged period of time, can be incredibly uncomfortable. It can lead to back pain, bad posture and a slew of other problems that are not good for your health.
If you’re investing in a good pair of shoes to keep your feet comfortable when walking or running, then you’d better give your back some love too. If you’re sitting for a long period of time at work, playing an online game or just fiddling with your computer at home, it can cause strain on your back muscles.
While sitting may seem like a pretty low-impact activity, doing it for a period of more than a few hours, daily, can have a significantly negative impact on your health. Reclining office chairs make things a whole lot more comfortable. They give you the ability to lay back, take some stress off of your body, and leave you in a comfortable position, all while being able to do your work.
By now, we all know that buying an ergonomic office chair is one of the best things you can do for your health if you sit for more than a few hours a day at your desk – even more so if you sit at your desk for the majority of your day! However, investing in your own health and productivity can get very expensive, if you’re not careful.
Working at a desk all day may seem like a luxurious job, but did you know that sitting for extended period of time can be worse for you than standing? Back problems and injuries are on the rise, and this is because of the growing number of sedentary people spending their time watching Netflix and/or working from an office, rather than being active throughout a large part of our day like our ancestors were.
Desks are very personal spaces for us, and we often spend a lot of time at them. In fact, we spend an average of two hours at our home desks, including the nighttime. As many know, staring at a bright screen in a dark room is terrible for your eyes. You could turn the light on in your office/bedroom, but not everyone has that option.
